Dr. Lazarski is originally from Chicago, IL, and attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his D.M.D. and Master of Public Health degrees from Harvard University in Boston, MA, graduating summa cum laude with class awards in endodontics, oral surgery and radiology.  He completed his Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

His research interests and publications include studies of surgical motor skills and learning surgical techniques, and factors influencing the success of endodontic therapy.  His 2001 paper, evaluating the outcomes of root canal therapy in over 100,000 patients, is often cited as valuable information for those interested in the specialty.

Dr. Lazarski has practiced endodontics in Arizona since 2000, where he has been named both a “Top Dentist” by Phoenix Magazine and one of “America’s Top Dentists” by his peers.  He is a part-time Faculty member at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in Mesa, where he teaches endodontics to dental students.  Away from the office, Dr. Lazarski enjoys spending time with his wife Tracey and daughter, cooking, reading and playing piano.

Dr. Situ is originally from Guilin, China, where she obtained her first dental degree with high honors in 1993.  After completing a General Practice Residency, she practiced general dentistry before obtaining her second D.D.S. magna cum laude and Master of Science degrees from the University of Buffalo, NY, with class awards in endodontics and prosthodontics.  She completed her Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

 

In addition to clinical dentistry, Dr. Situ has considerable research experience authoring sixteen papers and abstracts in the dental literature, presenting at numerous professional conferences, and receiving research funding from both the American Association of Endodontists and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.  Her research interests include the development of sophisticated diagnostic methods in endodontics and novel therapeutic agents for oral infections.

 

Dr. Situ joined Arizona Endodontics in 2007.  She and her husband Sam enjoy hiking, cooking, music, movies and eating a variety of ethnic foods.  However, their greatest joy comes from spending time with their two sons, who keep them very active, proud and fulfilled.
